The classic American shoemaker is definitely receiving a lot of attention these days. I gave up counting how many pairs of Alden I’ve seen on Pitti Uomo visitors. There was too many of them.

The brand creates new combination of its classic shoes by associating different forms / details / materials / soles in an original way. The possibilities are endless and most of the time it gives quite a nice result. Here are few pictures of associations I’ve never seen before, as well as a picture of their more classic shoes made of burgundy shell cordovan. Today online customization is a strong trend in online retailing, after Nike (with Nike ID), Louis Vuitton, Prada and even Ralph Lauren are offering such a service. It makes me dream about how crazy it would be if someday Alden does such a thing…
